London couple Charlotte and Phil tied the knot and held their wedding celebrations at the beautiful Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne, where we work on a regular basis.
A large group of 94, the ceremony was held in the Garden Room followed by glasses of chilled fizz, and canape consisting of quails scotch eggs, pesto & cream cheese with sun-dried tomato filo tarts, BBQ pulled pork sliders in homemade sesame bun, onion bhajees and cheese croquettes.
After an hour and a half or so the guests made their way to the tables upstairs in the Long Gallery for speeches, which Charlotte and Phil decided to do before the wedding breakfast. To keep people going they had asked us to supply nibbles in the form of home-made cheese straws.
After the speeches the guests tucked into food pre-selected from our Traditional Standard Menu. Charlotte and Phil had narrowed down the choices to the following:
Chicken liver parfait with red onion marmalade & toasted focaccia
Garlic & herb sautéed mushroom bruschetta
Roast beef served with Yorkshire pudding
Roasted Mediterranean vegetable lasagne
Served with roast & new potatoes & seasonal veg
Sticky toffee pudding with a warm toffee sauce
While the guests were busy eating we fed the girls from Fizzy Robot Photography who also work at Gildredge Manor often, and it’s always nice to see them.
After the meal the guests made their way downstairs for coffee, or drinks from the bar. Later on in the evening folks enjoyed sausage baps with chips as the evening food.
Another great day and lovely couple to cater for. We’re chuffed with what they said about us too! (see left)
