Local couple Christen and Sam booked a year and a half in advance but it soon came around, and once again we were at Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne.
Christen and Sam held their ceremony in the Garden Room and were joined by around 55 guests. After the ceremony they were greeted with Pimms and Lemonade and once everyone had a drink in hand we started the canapé service.
On the menu for canapé were all the old favourites – but everyone loves them! Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Blinis, Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Kebabs, Sun-dried Tomato & Parmesan Ristotto Balls (Arancini) and Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Brushettas. You can’t go wrong.
Christen and Sam had a striking blue theme with white chair sashes in the upstairs Gallery, a beautiful dining room with views over the gardens and nearby park.
For their Wedding Breakfast Christen and Sam opted for a BBQ, but instead of serving it from a buffet table, they wanted platters taken to the tables for guests to pass around and serve themselves.
On the menu were Butchers Sausages, Satay Chicken Skewers and Beef Burgers for the main part, accompanied by Salads of New Potatoes, Crunchy Pink Coleslaw and Moroccan Cous Cous.
The desserts, Sussex Banoffee Pie and Eton Mess were plated and placed alternately to guests which was something a bit different, and allows folks to share and swap if they want to. It certainly all went as all the plates came back clean!
Later on in the evening a DJ got everyone up on the dance floor and we supplied a simple finger buffet to keep people going, along with the wedding cake.
Another amazing couple, we really enjoyed catering for Christen and Sam and their guests. They all made it so nice and easy for us!
