The beautifully historic Pilgrims Rest in our home town of Battle is now opening up for weddings…and we’re lucky enough to be one of their preferred caterers!
The Pilgrims Rest is a stunning 600 year old Wealden Hall house nestled next to Battle Abbey. Now licenced for civil marriages and partnerships, this historic, rustic venue is perfect for exclusive use weddings and receptions.
The Pilgrims Rest has three beautiful reception rooms full of original features, pretty cottage gardens with views of the Abbey and a private walled garden to the rear.
The dining room will seat 60 on chunky rustic tables, complete with table runners, candlesticks and candles, and logs for the fire – in fact it’s the perfect setting for a winter wedding!
The Bryant Rooms above the dining room is exclusively for the bridal party where you’ll find a dressing room and powder room, and the sort of wonky flooring you’d expect from a building of this age!
With catering facilities to the rear, we at Green Fig can rustle up the food of your choice with minimal equipment hire-in costs compared to many venues.
