Private Dining in Brighton – Saturday 29th September 2018

Sue from Sheffield, and nine of her friends booked a fabulous Airbnb in Brighton in order to celebrate a 60th Birthday in the group.

Beetroot & Goats Cheese Starter

They wanted to spend the Saturday evening making the most of the lovely property and not having the hassle of going out. That’s where our Private Dining Menu comes in. You can still spend a lovely evening with your friends, enjoying beautiful food, and being waited on as much as you please without having to lift a finger or battle into a big city.

Sue thought our menu was perfect even though there are many great cooks within her group, and after much deliberating with her friends, they narrowed it down to a few choices from which to pre-select from. And they were not disappointed on the night – in fact not only did they think the food was ‘wonderful’ but the whole evening ‘brilliant’ and ‘a huge success’ (see testimonial – left).

They kicked the proceedings off with fizz and canape. We’re more than happy for you to supply your own drinks, and we’ll happily serve them for you. With no expensive restaurant wine lists to contend with, you might as well splash out on really good quality food, with a very personal service. There’s no rush to give up your seats for the next punters, and best of all nobody has to drive.

The canape consisted of Chicken Satay Skewers, Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta, Thai Fish Cakes topped with Chilli Aioli, and the ever-popular Yorkshire Pudding with rare Roast Beef & a Wasabi Mayo.

Trio of Desserts

For starters the ladies enjoyed either a Beetroot, Goat’s Cheese & Rocket Salad or a Trio of Salmon consisting of Oak-smoked Salmon, flaked Hot Smoked Salmon and a Salmon & Chive Mousse.

This was followed by either Oven-roasted Fillet of Cod with a Tomato, Chorizo & Butter Bean Ragout served with Crushed New Potatoes and Buttered Greens or Pan-Fried Fillet Steak with Dauphinoise Potatoes, Tender Stem Broccoli & a Creamy Peppercorn Sauce.

For dessert they had a Trio of Desserts which consisted of miniature portions of Rich Chocolate Brownie, Brandy Snap Basket filled with fresh Exotic Fruits and a warm Treacle Sponge. Followed by Coffee and Mints.

The ladies had a great evening and thoroughly enjoyed their first Private Dining experience – Green Fig style! If you fancy a bit of this for yourself and your friends take a look at our Private Dining Menu and get in touch!
