Wedding – Stuart & Monica – Saturday 3rd November 2018

Another great wedding at Gildredge Manor. This time for a friend of ours, Stuart, and his lovely partner Monica.

Roast Beef & Yorkie Pudding

Stuart has the premises a few doors down from us and runs a very successful motor mechanic & MOT business. Being all dressed up and not covered in engine grease was a sight we have never seen!

The ceremony was held on the ground floor in the Garden Room followed by drinks and canape in the adjoining Ladies Morning Room. A few brave souls wandered outside but it’s certainly a venue stunning enough to remain indoors and soak up the surroundings in this beautifully restored building on the edge of the park.

Prosecco was the arrival drink of choice and certainly the most popular these days. And our delicious canape make it a perfect combination, and the best way to while away a few hours while the couple get to say hello to their guests properly as well as have some photos taken.

When it comes to food Stu loves pretty much anything we do – as long as there’s plenty of it. Not really sure where he puts it all but we love nothing more than catering for people that like their grub! Stu and Monica opted for our most popular menu – the Traditional Standard. It’s got all the favourites on – something for everyone to pre-select from. The only tricky part is narrowing it down to three choices to offer your guests.

On the menu for Stu and Monica was Prawn Cocktail – an old favourite that is still requested all the time, Chicken Liver Parfait, and the third choice a Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Salad.

Stuffed Chicken

For mains it was the ever-popular Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, wrapped Chicken Breast stuffed with sun-dried Tomato & Mozzarella or a Vegetarian Tartlet.

Stu loves his puds and they went for a Sussex favourite, Banoffee Pie as well as a Sticky Toffee Pudding with a warm Toffee Sauce. Can’t really go wrong there.

Later on when the disco was in full swing it was time to set up the evening food. Stu and Monica went for a classic Cheeseboard, with some Cold Meat Platters. This type of food is always the best in our opinion, everyone loves it and folks can just help themselves to however much of little they want. Perfect for grazers.

Already knowing Stuart as a friend it was great to be part of his special day and see him so happy with his lovely bride, Monica. So happy for them, and we wish them all the best!
