Clare and Kath were tying the knot today in Brighton and asked us to organise a canapé reception for their 100 or so guests.
They wanted the whole day to be very informal with guests milling around chatting and drinking before they had a hog roast as the Wedding Breakfast which they were arranging themselves – still with no formal sit down or fuss.
Canape are perfect to get the party started, and even more perfect with a glass of something cold and fizzy! Clare and Kath chose the following to get their guests in the mood:
Smoked salmon & cream cheese blinis
Chilled gazpacho shots
Cherry tomato, mozzarella & basil kebabs
Yorkshire pudding with rare roast beef & wasabi mayo
Mediterranean vegetable bruschetta
Slow-braised ox-cheek sliders
Crispy filo tartlets – filled with chicken liver parfait
