Jenna and Lee, like so many of our couples chose the beautiful Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne for their wedding celebrations.
Having the ceremony on site in the Garden Room meant that the guests were settled in for the day without having to go off anywhere else. After the service they sipped Pimms and Prosecco in the grounds before heading up the impressive staircase to the Long Room to take their seats.
Jenna and Lee chose a simple, traditional selection of food that offered the guests a varied choice. With guests pre-ordering before the big day it gives everyone a chance to select something that they know they will enjoy. Nobody wants to sit in front of a plate of something they really don’t like at a wedding, and try to be polite….
On the menu for Jenna and Lee was Farmhouse Pate served with Onion Relish and Toasted Country Bread, Tomato, Basil and Mozzarella Salad, and a Smoked Fish Roulade with a Cucumber Crème Fraiche.
For mains they enjoyed Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast Stuffed with Cream Cheese, Poached Salmon Fillet with a Watercress Sauce, and a Moroccan Butternut Squash Tagine with a Herbed Cous Cous. Served with new potatoes, carrots, broccoli and spiced red cabbage, the couples’ favourite vegetables
For dessert was a Selection of British Cheese with Biscuits, Summer Berry Pavlova and a Zesty Lemon Pot served with Fresh Raspberries. Followed by Tea & Coffee with Chocolate Mints.
The guests then headed off downstairs where they could relax in the library or hit the bar, and the disco started up a bit later on, ready for the first dance.
After a bit of a breather and a good old boogie the guests tucked into some nibbles later in the evening, consisting of Roasted Pumpkin & Feta Tartlets, Lettuce Wrapped Malaysian Meatballs, Tomato, Basil and Mozzarella Kebabs, Mature Cheddar, Mango Chutney and Rocket Scones, Black Olive and Cheddar Cheese Straws, and Wedding Cake.
It was a great day and Jenna and Lee had big smiles on their faces every time we saw them – we wish them both all the very best!
