Katy and Andy got married at the beautiful Gildredge Manor on the edge of Gildredge Park in Eastbourne; a venue we are very familiar with being one of their recommended caterers.
The ceremony took place in the Garden Room, after which the guests had drinks and canape that included basil pesto, cream cheese & sundried tomato filo tartlets, Yorkshire puddings with rare roast beef & wasabi mayo, Quails scotch eggs and Spanish ham & cheese croquettes – delicious!
Katy and Andy supplied mason jars for the Pimms. Prosecco was also on offer.
When it was time for the Wedding Breakfast, the guests took their seats upstairs in the Long Gallery, the beautifully decorated sunny dining area. On the tables ready for them were mini mason jars filled with a shot Jaegermeister and an energy drink; nothing like a quick Jaegerbomb to get Granny relaxed!
Katy and Andy opted for a BBQ, served to the tables as opposed to a buffet – a much more popular and sociable way of serving these days. This was their menu:
Butchers sausages
Chicken satay skewers
American beef burgers
Moroccan style cous cous
Homemade pink coleslaw
Greek salad
Potato salad with wholegrain mustard mayo
Home-made bread & condiments
~~~
Platters of Chocolate Brownies & Fresh Strawberries
Coffee was served downstairs as a self-serve station – which is cheaper than having it served at the tables as you don’t need to have it for everyone. A DJ got things going downstairs while we got things clean and tidy upstairs.
And yes, we may have had a little play with some of the table decs…
Then it was time to get cracking with getting the evening food prepped which was a chicken paella, and a vegetable paella, cooked outside in traditional paella pans – which in itself is always a crowd-pleaser.
Instead of traditional wedding cake Katy and Andy had cupcakes, as well as a sweetie table.
Another great wedding at Gildredge Manor and another great couple!
