Louise & Joseph – Saturday 28th July 2018

Gildredge Manor is the perfect setting for a lovely wedding, and even more beautiful when the sun is shining.

Slow roast ox cheek

Louise and Joseph tied the knot here in the Garden Room followed by Pimms outside on the lawn. A relatively small group of 53 the guests just love to explore this wonderful building and it’s beautifully decorated rooms.

After drinks and photos the happy couple cut their wedding cake, and then the wedding party made their way up the staircase to the Gallery for dining. They wanted to use the cake as dessert (hence cutting it before the meal, giving us time to prepare it).

They also opted for having the speeches before the meal, as many do these days, to get them out of the way so they can relax (and enjoy their food without nerves spoiling it).

Louise and Joseph chose our Traditional Premium Menu – a real showstopper and perfect for those that really love good food. Each dish has been carefully put together with the accompaniments for each dish on the plate rather than family serve vegetables separately.

But if you prefer vegetables served sharing style you could go for our Traditional Standard Menu – a little lighter on the pocket and some firm favourites that win every time.

Louise and Joseph’s menu consisted of:

Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato soup served with crusty bread

Homemade ham hock terrine with chunky piccalilli & farmhouse bread

Roasted Mediterranean vegetable bruschetta

~~~
 Five-hour slow cooked ox cheek with creamy mash, roasted parsnips, carrots and a red wine jus
Chicken breast stuffed with sundried tomato, mozzarella wrapped in Serrano ham served on crushed new potatoes with roasted Mediterranean vegetables
Filo basket filled with a wild mushroom and spinach ragout, served with a root vegetable mash
~~~

Wedding Cake & Coffee

Judging by the clean plates and the lovely comments to our waiting staff, I can safely say that the food went down a treat.

With entertainment in the form of a band and plenty of action at the bar, it wasn’t long before the next round of food was being prepared. Louise and Joseph went for butcher’s sausage hot dogs and fruit platters as their evening food – that seemed to tick all the boxes too!

It’s hard to know what will be your perfect wedding breakfast when there’s so much to choose from, but that’s why we’re here to help. We can always help you put together a balanced menu, so that you are offering your guests a varied choice. I think Louise and Joseph chose very well.

With all of our menus and pricing on line we offer a huge range of menus to suit every palate and hopefully every budget.

Louise and Joseph had a great day and were a delight to cater for, as were their friends and family.

We wish them all the very best!
