Yep, we’re at it again. The old Private Dining is really kicking off for us!

Unlike many of the private parties we cater for, this one was actually in the owners home in Hove (although it was every bit as fabulous as the amazing rental properties we frequent).

The group was a bunch of friends, couples, who were planning a champagne tasting followed by a delicious meal cooked by our very own Chef Ben. Ben has been adding to our menus with various different cuisines, including Asian, and Spanish.

The group were taken with the idea of Spanish Tapas…and that’s exactly what they got. Tapas is a very relaxed and sociable way to eat, lots of different things to choose from, and you can share and eat as much or as little of one thing as you wish. Not to mention the variety of flavours, colours and textures that make Tapas a real treat for the senses.

On the menu for Catherine and friends was Gazpacho Shots, Ham & Manchego Croqueta, Chorizo & Squid Skewers, Slow-Braised Ox-Cheek in Red Wine, Serrano Ham Platter, Manchego Cheese with Honey, Marinated Olives, Paprika Chicken with Peppers, Patatas Bravas, Slow-Cooked Octopus Salad, Meatballs in a Rich Tomato Sauce and a Chicken, Prawn and Chorizo Paella. What a feast!

And as if that wasn’t enough grub they then tucked into a Trio of Desserts made up of Crème Catalan, Churros with warm Chocolate Sauce and Strawberry Meringues. Luckily they weren’t being rushed in any way…

Needless to say they polished most of it off and couldn’t praise us enough for the fabulous evening they had.
