Private Dining Lunch – Saturday 12th August 2017

Private Dining is perfect for intimate celebrations at home, particularly if you have a large family and want to do something special.

Stuffed Mushroom Starter

Barrie arranged this lunch in honour of his wife’s birthday. He wanted it to be a treat for his wife and the extended family and close friends without the hassle of finding a restaurant to take all 20 of them.

Also, having a beautiful home and garden, why pay to go out when you have the perfect setting at home, and can take things at a much more leisurely pace?

The day started off with canapé which consisted of sun-dried tomato & cream cheese blinis, mini toad in the hole, roasted vegetable bruschetta, king prawn & chorizo skewers, Thai crab and chilli toasts and quails scotch eggs.

Slow-roast shoulder of lamb

After drinks and canapé in the garden the guests took their seats at the dining table in the conservatory.

They had pre-ordered from our Private Dining Menu and starter choices included a trio of salmon, stuffed field mushroom, and tomato & basil & mozzarella tower with a pesto dressing.

Pan-fried fillet steak was on the menu for some, cooked just the way they like it, as well as a slow-roast lamb. The vegetarian option was a filo basket filled with a butternut squash & chick pea curry served with aromatic rice.

For desserts most had a trio of chocolate brownie, brandy snap basket filled with exotic fruits and a warm treacle sponge.

With our waiter and waitress taking care of their needs we could hear they were having a great time, and we were thrilled when the birthday girl said it was a truly memorable birthday – in the comfort of her own home with all of her closest family and friends around her and fabulous food to top it all off.
