This was another job that was great for us. Three generations of the same family got together in an amazing rented house in Mayfield for the weekend, and what better way to kick things off than to have delicious fresh food brought in by caterers (yours truly!) so that nobody needs to lift a finger?
Instead of formal dining (which would have been perfect in this property) the family wanted to keep it simple and have a finger buffet – something for everyone to tuck into after their journeys. With kids of varying ages – everyone was happy.
The house was beautiful (a snip at £3,000 for the weekend). The family were so welcoming. While I should have been helping Ben in the kitchen I got a full guided tour of the property (my main reason for volunteering for this job was to have a good nose!). They showed me all eight of the beautifully decorated bedrooms – all with en-suite bathrooms.
The indoor pool was the main attraction, with sauna and gym, games room and home cinema completing the luxurious theme. And, of course the kitchen was a dream to work in.
Great family, great experience – we love our job! 😉
