Naomi & David got married in Uckfield and held their Wedding Reception in High Hurstwood Village Hall.
Another great venue – large hall, outside tables and chairs for welcome drinks and a beautiful countryside setting. Kitchen was a bit small – but we are used to managing with the space we are given!
Naomi looked stunning in a beautifully classic dress and the couple were so lucky with the weather. It was a glorious day which meant that the guests could enjoy their arrival drinks outside in the sunshine while our waitresses circulated with canapé that consisted of Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Blinis, Chicken Satay Skewers, Thai Crab & Chili Toasts and Sundried Tomato & Parmesan Risotto Balls.
Reflecting the simple, no-fuss feel to the day they opted for a Hot Fork Buffet that consisted of Classic Beef Lasagne, Lemon Chicken with Olives & Green Beans, & Slow-Roasted Pork Goulash served with Greek Salad, New Potatoes & Moroccan Style Cous Cous. Guests tucked in heartily and kept coming back for more… & more – which is what we like to see.
Desserts were a selection of home-made cakes served on pretty cake stands as well as some large cutting cakes – Victoria Sponge and Coffee & Walnut Sponge. Naomi had hired in mismatched vintage cake plates which looked beautiful. The cakes were also a bit hit with the guests!
The evening food was a Cheese Board with all the trimmings – simple and delicious.
Naomi and David had a wonderful day and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Great to be around couples that just want to keep it simple and get on with enjoying themselves. A great couple – we wish Naomi and David all the very best for their future together.
