Last August, Sarah and Chris chose a picnic style wedding breakfast, whereby picnic hampers overflowing with beautiful meats, cheeses, salads and breads were brought to the tables by the waiting staff – a real show-stopper. In the evening guests milled about on the lawn outside the marquee at the beautiful Otham Court, sat on hay bales and then enjoyed a juicy bacon sandwich. And then of course it was time for a boogie.
In September, at the Reid Hall in Boreham Street, Tim and Sarah chose whole legs of slow roasted lamb with all the trimmings for their guests. This reflected them perfectly, both coming from a rural background.
The hall boasted huge hanging baskets of fresh flowers, and a single pot plant was placed at every setting for each guest to take home. The real fun started when each table had a designated carver – all of whom rose to the occasion by donning the chef’s hat and apron supplied for them and taking their role awfully seriously (yes, they were all men of course)!
