Emily and Pete were great fun, and a pleasure to deal with from the off.
They chose Gildredge Manor for their ceremony and wedding reception. A fairly small group of 50 and a glorious day this was the perfect place to be. After the ceremony guests enjoyed Prosecco in the garden along with the following four canape from our canape menu:
Thai Fishcakes with Chill Aioli
Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta
Thai Crab & Chilli Toasts
Tomato & Parmesan Arancini
When it was time to take seats, the guests made their way upstairs to the Gallery with it’s stunning views over the park and gardens.
Emily & Pete wanted a relaxed menu to reflect themselves and the overall feel of the day. Our BBQ Menu fitted the bill nicely but instead of having it as a buffet, the dishes were taken to the tables for folks to share, which is more popular these days and works well if space in the room is limited.
On Emily & Pete’s menu were:
Chicken Satay Skewers
Green Fig Signature Homemade Burgers with Onion Marmalade
Barbecued Fillet of Salmon with a Salsa Verde
Potato Salad
Pink Coleslaw
Green Leaf Salad
Homemade Bread & Butter
Desserts were platters of the ever-popular Chocolate Brownies, and large sharing bowls of Eton Mess. After dessert guests made their way downstairs for tea, coffee or drinks from the bar.
With a caricaturist setting up after the meal, and later on a DJ, the entertainment was provided in style.
The evening food was Paella, cooked in a huge open pan in the garden everywhere. A great bit of food theatre for the guests, and a really tasty snack served with Bread and Salad.
Such a great couple, we’re so glad that Emily and Pete enjoyed their day, and that we were part of it.
