Laura and Matt booked with us ages ago, and finally their big day arrived!
Once again at the lovely Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne, Laura and Matt made full use of the beautiful Garden Room in which to hold their wedding ceremony with their family and friends.
After the ceremony it was time for drinks and canapé in the lovely enclosed garden. Fizz and Pimms are the usual choices for drinks – and you just can’t go wrong with these choices, especially on a lovely summer’s day.
Canape consisted to Mini Toad in the Hole (always a winner), Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta, Oven Baked Chorizo and Spinach & Feta Filo Tarts. Something to keep the wolf from the door before the main event.
At around 4:30pm folks went upstairs to the Gallery Room and took their places – ready to tuck into Asian Lamb Fillet Salad followed by home-made Steak & Ale Pie (Chef makes great pastry!).
Obviously the Vegetarians were catered for too, as well as those with specific dietary requests.
The kids had their very own special menu too, which was Cheeseburgers with Potato Wedges and Garlic Bread. It’s always a good idea to keep the kids happy so that parents can enjoy themselves a bit more.
Wedding cake was used as dessert, and served with fresh fruit and cream. Then the wedding party made their way back downstairs for coffee or drinks from the bar.
Later on in the evening and after a bit of a boogie, the Finger Buffet was rolled out and guests made light work of finger food favourites such as Sausage Rolls, BBQ Chicken Drumsticks and Sandwiches.
Laura and Matt had a great day, as did all of their lovely guests. It was certainly the long wait for the big day and probably went in a flash, but they will take many good memories of the day with them.
We wish them both all the very best!
