Wedding – Vicky and Anthony – Sat 1st April 2017

Yep, you guessed it – back at the wonderful Gildredge Manor again! ‘Tis the season!

Home-made mini Cheeseburger

We’re getting well into the throws of Wedding Season now, but these early ones are always our favourites (maybe because we have more energy – and boy do we need it at Gildredge Manor as there are lots of back stairs between the kitchen and the dining room upstairs!)

Of course the guests are blissfully unaware of all the leg work back of house – and quite right too. They get to enjoy the extensive ground floor rooms as well as the pretty garden area, and then go up the impressive staircase to the dining area.

Vicky and Anthony had their ceremony in the Garden Room, followed by a blessing over the road at St Mary’s Church. Then it was back to the Manor for drinks and canapé.

Vicky and Anthony chose mini home made Cheeseburgers as one of their canapé (along with Cherry Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil Kebabs, King Prawn & Chorizo Skewers and Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta). It all was very well-received but the Cheeseburgers were such a hit! The waitresses were almost linched!

Home made Steak & Ale Pie

The Wedding Breakfast went down equally as well, and on the menu was either a home-made Steak & Ale Pie, Bacon wrapped Chicken Breast or individual Goats Cheese and Caramelised Red Onion Tart. Strawberry Eton mess was the dessert – and you just can’t go wrong with that! I’m sure folks had licked the plates!

While the big clear up was taking place upstairs guests mingled downstairs in the bar area and enjoyed a singer as well as a DJ later on. With a quick break for a bacon buttie in the middle of the evening it was straight back to the dance floor to make the most of the night.

Vicky and Anthony – just like most of our couples were a delight to cater for and their guests were so complimentary about the food and the day as a whole. It’s a great feeling to see everyone enjoying themselves.

We wish Vicky and Anthony all the very best x
