Shemane & Craig – Tuesday 12th August 2014 – Birling Manor

weddings Our first ever Tuesday wedding & it was at the charming Birling Manor.

The characterful room was decorated beautifully with huge pink pompoms suspended from the ceiling and parcels of home-made fudge were placed at each setting. A huge sash of photos of Shemane and Craig over the years was draped from wall to wall in the entrance hall. Little touches like these are inexpensive but have huge impact, and help to personalise the day.

The wind was getting up a bit outside and some glasses took off from the welcome drink station! but our waitresses stood their ground, and the guests were undeterred and enjoyed their chilled Prosecco and canapés.

To start off the guests enjoyed a warm goats cheese tart, followed by chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham stuffed with feta cheese and sun-dried tomatoes on a bed of chunky vegetable and tomato ragout, and lemon cheesecake to finish.

After we were cleared up and packed away the guests were gearing up for a hog-roast for the evening’s fodder which probably went down a treat.

Shemane and Craig make a fantastic couple and we wish them all the very best for their future together.
