Laura & Charis had a small, intimate wedding at the stunning Old Chapel in Alfriston.
A big difference to the large, lavish weddings we often do – this one was intimate, relaxed and simple. The wedding party consisted of just 26 close family and friends and a selection of freshly made buffet items delivered by us, ready for them to tuck into when they arrived from the church just over the green.
The couple had previously had trouble finding a company that would be able to offer them what they wanted at the price they wanted, and on a Saturday – but also keep the quality exceptional. We were happy to step in; whatever the budget, there’s always something we can do.
With a venue as beautiful as The Old Chapel, food freshly made on the day with care and passion, and having those closest to you share your day – it doesn’t get any better than that. More and more we are dealing with super-organised brides that make page long itineraries and a step by step plan of the day – but it’s not necessary! The time-plan should be turn up, get married, enjoy lovely food and wine, have some fun with the people that you love, and go home smiling. But most of all – let someone else do the work!
Sometimes it really is best to keep things simple, but do them really well. Laura’s hand-written menu looked stunning – as did the table decorations, neither of which would have made a dent in their budget.
It was a real pleasure to be part of Laura and Charis’s wedding and we wish them all the best!
