Wedding – Kirsty & Paul – Sat 20/5/17

Back at Gildredge Manor again, and another delightful couple!

Kirsty and Paul, like so many others saw Gildredge Manor and just new it was going to be worth every penny to have such a perfectly stunning venue. With a separate room for the ceremony, another for dining as well as the bar areas, library, reception rooms and beautiful private garden it really does have it all.

Kirsty and Paul got married in the Garden Room at 3pm, and with the official bit out of the way it was then onto the eating and drinking and socializing!

Prosecco was poured, and guests milled around outside and inside and enjoyed canapé brought to them consisting of Mini Toad in the Hole, King Prawn & Chorizo Skewers, Butternut Squash & Feta Filo Tarts and the ever-popular Mini Cheeseburgers (Chef Ben makes the buns as well as the burgers!)

Next was the Wedding Breakfast up the beautiful staircase to the Gallery room. Kirsty had lemon yellow as her napkin colour (painstakingly rolled by her Mum) and they looked really stunning. Kirsty and Paul chose a traditional Afternoon Tea, a delightfully British way to celebrate.

With an Afternoon Tea you do need the savouries to provide the main filler for the meal, and on the menu today were dainty mixed Sandwiches, Cheese & Tomato mini Muffin Pizzas, Mini Quiches, and Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Blinis.

The sweet treats come out afterwards, on traditional cake stands that can be passed around the table. But there’s always plenty to go around, and our girls replenish as necessary, so everyone can have a good tuck-in.

Kirsty and Paul chose the traditional Strawberry & Cream Scone, Coffee & Walnut Mini Loaves, Lemon Drizzle Mini Loaves, and of course our amazing Chocolate Brownies!

With the Prosecco still flowing, and lashings of tea for those taking it a bit more easy everyone certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves!

With 50 or so more guests to come and evening entertainment planned, Kirsty and Paul certainly made the most of making it a day to remember, for everyone.

In between dancing they broke for Bacon Butties and then got straight back to the business of enjoying themselves.

A really great couple, and a pleasure to cater for – we wish them both all the best! xx
