Like so many others Bekki and Alex were taken with the beautiful Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne, which is where they held their ceremony and wedding reception.
The ceremony took place in the Garden Room at 1pm followed by Pimms and Lemonade in the Ladies Morning Room. With Gildredge Manor you have the run of all of the rooms, each one beautifully and individually decorated, as well as the pretty enclosed garden that borders onto the edge of the park.
Bekki and Alex chose a great menu for their big day. The venue may be traditional, but the food certainly wasn’t! The guests took their seats in the Gallery upstairs and were in for a Mediterranean feast.
To start things off sharing platters of Spanish tapas were taken to each table. On each platter were Patatas Bravas with a rich Tomato sauce, Serrano Ham & Manchego Croqueta, pan-fried baby Squid with Chorizo & Parsley, marinated Olives and home-made breads, Focaccia and Fougasse.
The main course was a Chicken & Chorizo Paella served with a fresh Green Salad, and the dessert was freshly made Churros with a hot Chocolate dipping sauce and whipped cream.
After this amazing meal folks made their way downstairs for coffee and drinks from the bar.
Bekki and Alex hired a photo booth to add some fun and the evening entertainment kicked off at 8:30pm with a band.
The evening food was Frankfurters in a bun with onions, mustard and ketchup – and they went down a storm!
Another great couple, who clearly love their food and wanted something a bit different on their big day. The guests seemed to love it all as well and many took the time to come to tell us so.
We wish Bekki and Alex all the very best!
