Last Friday night while the rest of you were probably enjoying a glass of wine by the telly, John and I were busy making 1,320 canapés for a charity music concert at St. Mary’s Church in Battle.
In memory of local man Will Beckett, the evening was a huge success. 250 guests enjoyed an evening of classical music, wine and canapés, and the event raised in excess of £1,200 for the three chosen charities: The Beachy Head Chaplaincy, Dragonflies and Winston’s Wish.
Apart from repetitive strain from ‘extreme garnishing’ it was great to be part of such a brilliant fund-raising event, and we certainly enjoyed a beer or two when we got home!
