Naming Ceremony – Saturday 27th August 2014 – Alfriston

Well this was no ordinary naming ceremony – this was a full-on event!

2014-09-27 15.08.05The afternoon started with Champagne and canapes by the pool, followed by the naming ceremony in a private room of the house. The 60 guests entered the marquee to the sound of professional harpist Alexandra King.

The marquee had been decorated with stunning flowers by Jo O’Connor of Battle House of Flowers.

After a five-choice hot buffet the guests were treated to the second round of entertainment in the form of the beautifully quirky Spinettes.

With a steady flow of guests at the bar and champagne flowing freely the evening concluded with a jazz band and a cheese and meat platter for those who were still partying. 2014-09-27 13.46.03

Although 4 month old Oleta was blissfully unaware, the guests certainly did a good job of welcoming her into the world and wetting her head.

The party was in full flow when we left, and the couple gave every member of staff a bottle of Moet & Chandon Rose for our hard work. Now that’s our kind of tip! Cheers!
