Leon & Felicity Wedding – Saturday 9th April 2016

The coastal town of Saltdean overlooking the South Downs was the setting for Leon and Felicity’s wedding.

2016-04-09 17.43.32The couple got married in Lewes at the Town Hall after which the wedding party of 76 made their way back home for arrival drinks and canapé – the only way to start things off! They nibbled on bite-size delights including Herby Scones with Mackerel Pate, Mini Toad in the Hole, Thai Crab & Chilli Toasts, Sun-dried Tomato and Parmesan Risotto Balls (Arancini) and Goats Cheese & Olive Toasts.

2016-04-09 17.43.41The Wedding Breakfast took place in a marquee in the garden, which looked stunning with beautiful fresh flowers. The couple wanted a fairly informal feel to the day so chose a perfect menu of BBQ food brought to the tables on platters served with Salads. BBQ’s don’t have to be Sausages and Burgers – on this menu were Minted Lamb Skewers, Thai Cod Parcels and Pesto Chicken Parcels (Vegetarian Tartlets for the Vegetarians).

Served with Greek Salad, Crunchy Pink Coleslaw and Persian Rice, lots of Home-made Breads it was a real feast. Dessert was Summer Berry Pavlova, Chocolate Fudge Cake and Zesty Lemon Pots served on a Buffet table so guests could come up when called, and come up again and again if they desired!
