Back at one of our favourite places, the lovely Manor Barn in Bexhill.
Becky and Matthew decked the room out with beautiful white chair covers with a pale pink sash and stunning table centrepieces. Wrapped gingerbread hearts were laid at the place settings.
After welcome drinks and canapes in the grounds, the guests entered the barn for the main event. Becky and Matthew chose a simple but delicious starter of melon or pate, and then came the show-stopper for main; fillet steak (cooked medium) with crushed new potatoes and a bundle of summer veg, served with either a creamy peppercorn sauce or a beef and red wine jus. It was awesome! Presented on rectangular white china plates it was a treat for the eyes too.
It clearly went down very well too, as the plates were totally empty coming back – which is always how we judge which dishes are popular with a large crowd and hence why those that make it onto our menus are almost guaranteed to please. This one is certainly going on!
Dessert was individual portions of wedding cake which consisted of fruit cake and Victoria sponge, and looked delicious. By keeping the starter and dessert simple and cost-effective, Becky and Matthew were able to pull out all the stops for the main that they really wanted, and if definitely paid off.
Becky and Matthew had a great day and they were lovely people to cater for. We wish them all the very best for their future together.
