Canape parties are perfect for informal gatherings such as this one which was held in the function room of the Tally Ho pub in Eastbourne.

It was a bit tricky not having a proper area in which to assemble the canapé but we managed and it all added to the fun.
With a bar in the function room guests could get drinks and mingle, while our waiting staff circulated and handed out bite size nibbles.
Kate, who’s event it was had an American theme for the evening, and even the napkins were dollar bills. Just when I thought we couldn’t fit any more people in the room another crowd arrived, but the food kept coming and there was plenty to go around.
On the menu were some classic combinations:
Smoked salmon & cream cheese blinis
Chicken satay skewers
Tortilla cups with Rare Roast Beef filling
Bloody Mary shot
Thai crab cakes with chilli alioli
Quails egg Scotch eggs
Tomato, mozzarella, basil kebabs
We especially liked the fact that Kate had been recommended us by one of the guests, for whom we have catered for several times before for similar events – it’s always great to get business by recommendation.
After we’d cleared away, we left the party in full swing & by the sounds of it they all had a great time.
