Gildredge Manor Wedding Reception for Helen & Richard

Helen and Richard held their wedding ceremony and reception at Gildredge Manor in May.

With 79 guests in total, the wedding party were greeted after the ceremony with chilled fizz supplied by Gildredge Manor and served by us. Once everyone had a glass in their hand it was time to start circulating with the canape, which consisted of these all-time favourites:

Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Blinis

Yorkshire Puddings with rare Roast Beef and Wasabi Mayo

Homemade Cheeseburger in a homemade bun

Chicken Satay Skewers

After a few hours, the guests took their seats upstairs in the long gallery for the meal. With 16 children at the wedding party, they had their own menu designed for young eaters, namely homemade chicken goujons with chips and ketchup. The adults had pre-ordered dishes from our traditional premium menu:

Slow-roasted shoulder of Lamb served on Boulangere Potatoes with Mediterranean Vegetables in a light Tomato & Rosemary Jus

Oven baked Cod topped with a Basil, Parmesan & Chorizo crust served on crushed New Potatoes with Summer Greens

Filo basket filled with a Wild Mushroom & Spinach Ragout, served with a Root Vegetable Mash (V)

Rich chocolate & orange terrine

Strawberry Pavlova

Banoffee pie

Clean plates all around is always a good sign. After dinner, the wedding party made their way downstairs so that we could get the room cleared down. Tea and coffee were waiting for them as well as the bar at Gildredge Manor.

Entertainment was booked for the evening in the Garden Room and later on, the guests tucked into a hog roast, courtesy of Harold’s Hog Roast.
