We were off to Offham this time! A beautiful marquee (courtesy of Meridian Marquees) in a huge field belonging to the family – and right next to the church – so not far at all for the wedding party to walk.
Marquee Wedding
The marquee looked amazing – there was even a full bar and chill-out area with sofas. We love working in marquees as usually we get lots of space to work in and to set up prep tables. If there’s a cold plated starter or dessert it means we can lay out all the plates and get to work as late on as possible so that the food is really fresh and more importantly still cool! Marquees can get very warm if the sun is shining….which luckily on this day it was – in fact it was a glorious day.
Marquees can look so luxurious – fully carpeted, chandelier lighting. You can even get posh portable loos these days (not like festival ones). They are carpeted, music playing, and in the Ladies a picture of George Clooney and Sean Connery! – what more could you possibly want? (Don’t know who’s in the Men’s, but probably someone lovely).
Roast Beef
Being of farming stock the couple chose Roast Beef which went down a treat, with plenty of Crispy Roast Potatoes and Veg – and of course, proper Gravy! (Yes, we can hire an oven in too). There were some very hearty appetites to cater for, but everyone was satisfied before they tucked into a much lighter Strawberry Pavlova.
We just love weddings like this – the chilled out environment seems to reflect on the day as a whole, and everyone just goes with the flow….and of course the nice weather helps!
