Philippa & Glen – Saturday 15th July 2017

Philippa and Glen tied the knot in Hurstpierpoint, and after the ceremony the guests made their way to the nearby village of Cuckfield for the Reception.

The 108 guests were welcomed with Cava as well as Pimms and Lemonade and when everyone had a drink in their hand they enjoyed canapé on the lawn by the marquee.

Our almost infamous Scotch Eggs were once again the talk of the crowd, along with mini Yorkshire Puddings wit rare roast Beef and Wasabi, Thai Fishcakes topped with Chilli Aioli, and Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta.

Philippa and Glen had been guests at a previous wedding we had catered for in Uckfield, and when they came to us they knew exactly what they wanted – the same as their friends had had! Not just the Wedding Breakfast but the evening food too – they had enjoyed it that much!

They wanted a traditional Afternoon Tea during the day and Chef’s wonderful curries as the evening food to keep them going.

Dressed Scones

The savouries on the Afternoon Tea were made up of dainty Sandwich fingers, warm Sausage Rolls, and warm individual Quiches, served on platters to the tables. The sweet treats were served on traditional china cake stands and included Lemon Drizzle, Chocolate Brownies, Carrot Cake and dressed Scones.

Chef’s Chicken Tikka Massala and Aubergine, Butternut Squash & Vegetable Curries went down a storm in the evening served with Rice and Nan Bread.

Philippa, being an Events Manager herself was a little worried she might find it hard to let someone else do the organising for a change – but I think even she was surprised how easy it was to let go, knowing she was in safe hands!

An absolute pleasure to deal with Philippa and Glen had a fantastic day and have left us a fantastic testimonial (see left) and we wish them all the very best!
