It’s that time again and one of our clients and friends was off to Goodwood for the day and once again asked us at Green Fig to provide her and her colleagues with a luxury picnic hamper.
Seeing as she’d been kind enough invite me too how could we say no!
We got picked up by taxi and the fun started with a few bottles of Prosecco and a few nibbles! When we arrived at Goodwood we unpacked the hamper and it was full of Chef Ben’s home-made delights and treats, and it was so nice being on the other side of things!
The sausage rolls and quiche were the best I’ve ever tasted – yes, of course I would say that, but it’s true – I only eat Chef Ben’s pastry! The salads were delicious and my favourite was the sun-blushed tomato and orzo salad, which provided a good snack on the way back after a long day of drinking Pimms and losing on horses! I think I’ll stick to running a catering business as gambling is definitely not my forte!
