Private Dining is the perfect way to experience an intimate restaurant style service without actually having to step out.

Christmas Private Dining

More often than not we are working in rented properties that folks are hiring for the weekend – but many take advantage of our Private Dining service in their own homes. A dinner party without having to cook – what could be better?

Mark, who owns a local company was stuck as to what to do for his Christmas work party. Being only a small team with varying tastes they have always in the past gone to a local restaurant, but this year Mark wanted something a bit different – something a bit more personal and tailor-made for them.

While Mark and his wife met the staff and colleagues at the hotel up the road for drinks, we were busy getting everything underway at home. His wife had decorated the table beautifully, and we had the champers ready to flow when they returned.

Starters – Private Dining

Being an open plan style house lent itself perfectly for an informal evening with the cooking action happening just behind them, and having a great kitchen to work from is always a bonus for us too.

Mark and his wife selected a menu that would suit all of the tastes of the guests, which is what it’s all about really. On the menu to start was a trio of salmon, a tomato, basil & mozzarella tower, and  chicken liver pate.

For mains they enjoyed pan fried fillet steak, slow roasted shoulder of lamb and stuffed chicken breast. The one vegetarian had a filo basket filled with chick pea and butternut squash curry and aromatic rice.

The trio of desserts went down a storm too, before finishing off with coffee & chocolate mints.

They had left out a selection of cheeses to enjoy later on which we plattered up and left all ready for them (with some of our lovely home made chilli jam – one of Mark’s favourite things).
