Another lovely couple, Rich and Clare tied the knot at the beautiful Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne, another venue that we are lucky enough to have earned a place on their list of preferred caterers.
A relatively small party of 59 the day kicked off with Prosecco and after some relaxed milling around and enjoying the surroundings the guests took their seats, this time in the Long Room upstairs.
Being non-meat eaters Rich and Clare had chosen a Vegetarian and Pescatarian menu entirely. The plates came back pretty clean so I don’t think even the carnivores amongst them even noticed, let alone minded!
Starters were the ever-popular Tomato, Basil and Mozzarella Salad with home-made Pesto, and Smoked Salmon and Mackerel Pate Roulade.
Main courses were either Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable and Butternut Squash Lasagne, or Poached Salmon Fillet with a Creamy Watercress Sauce. Both were served with salads and home-made garlic sharing breads.
Dessert was Rich’s favourite Tiramisu, or Chocolate Fudge Cake with a Red Berry Compote, followed by Coffee and Bite-Size Brownies.
In the evening they went for a Cheese Board – everyone’s favourite. All in all they were a very happy bunch, and had a great day.
This one was an absolute pleasure to do, and we wish Rich and Clare all the very best! x
