Jen & Oliver held their wedding reception at the Village Hall in Loxwood, somewhere we had never been before, or even heard of for that matter.

They decorated the hall really simply – which is always the best way – and it looked really stunning.
Being big fans of Sussex Charmer cheese, they asked us to incorporate this into the canapes, so proceedings were kicked off with Sussex Charmer Welsh Rarebit bites as well as Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Blinis.
The couple chose our ever-popular picnic hamper menu and inside were Slices of Roast Beef, Salmon, Asparagus, Parmesan and New Potato Frittata, Pork and Mango Chutney Sausage Rolls and Spinach and Feta Filo Tartlets accompanied by Spinach and Mushrooms Salad with a Pesto Dressing, Tomato and Red Onion Salad with Rocket Leaves & a traditional Potato Salad, all served with baskets of home-made breads and butter.
For dessert they chose Eton Mess & Banoffee Pie – both of which always hit the spot with wedding guests – the ultimate British desserts.

Another nice touch were the jars of homemade pickled shallots that the couple supplied themselves – well, a picnic isn’t a picnic without them is it?
Jen & Oliver played a blinder with the venue, the menu and by putting the emphasis on simple but delicious home made food to share with family and friends on this day to remember.
