Stephanie and Steve chose Manor Barn for their big day – a venue in Bexhill that we work at regularly and it’s one of our favourites.
Summer Berry Pavlova
A fairly small affair of 56 people (small to us anyway!) there was a really nice relaxed, intimate feel to the day.
It lashed down with rain for a while but luckily cleared up just in time for champagne and canapé out on the lawn.
The food also reflected the more informal, social theme as Stephanie and Steve opted for the picnic hamper wedding package that we offer. It’s a popular choice for so many reasons. There’s plenty of choice, so everyone is catered for, and it’s suitable for the kids too. It’s really sociable as people unpack the contents and share and pass it round. It’s the taste of the British summer – even if the weather outside isn’t great.
The items they chose for their hamper included all the favourites: Cherry Tomato, Roasted Red Pepper and Chorizo Quiche, Hand carved Ham, Mature Cheddar Cheese, Chicken Satay Skewers with Peanut Dip, Homemade Pork & Herb Sausage Rolls, Mixed Green Leaves, Homemade Pink Coleslaw, Potato Salad with Wholegrain Mustard Mayonnaise & a Selection of Breads with Butter. Followed by Summer Berry Pavlova.
It was a fantastic day for Stephanie and Steve – a lovely couple, and we wish them the very best for their future together!
