Wedding – Elisa & Luke – Saturday 23rd June 2018

Elisa and Luke held their wedding reception at Punnets Town Village Hall, another gem of a village hall in the countryside.

Blushing Bride!

With a decent-sized kitchen, two large rooms to make use of & plenty of parking it’s a great venue for both guests and caterers – and a fraction of the price of some of the private venues we work at.

Elisa and Luke knew exactly what they wanted and a meeting with them got it all finalised and set out with a plan for the whole day.

They were set on the day being completely informal with self-serve drinks and no fuss or frills. They weren’t fussed about sticking with tradition or wasting money on things they didn’t need. Just great food, drink and company – the basics of a fantastic day.

The sharing starter platters fitted the bill completely and according to Elisa are still being talked about now! (see testimonial). The main part of the menu was from our traditional standard menu.

The veggies and vegans were also well-catered for and had their own boards with suitable alternatives to choose from. This was their menu:

Parma ham, chorizo, Manchego, stuffed vine leaves, marinated olives, hummus & crudite

 Focaccia with olive oil & balsamic vinegar

~~~
Bacon-wrapped chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese
Steak & ale pie
Moroccan butternut squash tagine
served with crushed new potatoes, carrots, beans & baby corn
~~~

Trio of chocolate brownies

Apple & cinnamon pie with custard

Zesty lemon pots with fresh raspberries

Elisa & Luke had arranged for a pizza van to arrive for the evening food which meant a rare early finish for us! With Elisa being in a band they had an evening of music ahead too. Things were already buzzing when our staff left and they were such a lovely group of people to cater for.

There’s nothing run of the mill with Elisa and the real star was her amazing dress – absolutely awesome and refreshingly different. And the white DM’s were just perfect. We love to see something a bit more quirky and individual.

They were an absolute delight to cater for and we wish Elisa and Luke all the very best!
