Wedding – Harriet & Jez – Saturday 10/9/16

Harriet and Jez chose the lovely Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne for their wedding, somewhere we have worked many many times this year!

With 100 day time guests the ceremony was held in the larger room upstairs as well as the Wedding Breakfast – which means that while the guests were outside and downstairs being served canape and drinks, the rest of the front of house team were busy turning the room around ready for the meal. We have done it so many times, we have it off to a fine art now.

The canapé included Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Blinis, Chicken Satay Skewers, Oven Roasted King Prawn & Chorizo Skewers, and Sundried Tomato & Parmesan Risotto Balls. All washed down with Prosecco (a much more popular choice these days than Champagne, and still lovely).

The couple chose to have an Afternoon Tea for their Wedding Breakfast, another popular choice these days for weddings. The savouries came out first on platters, and consisted of sandwiches (Prawn Mayonnaise, BLT, Egg Mayo and Chicken Mayo) as well as Mini Toad in the Hole, and Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella skewers.

Then it was time for the cake stands to come out with all the sweet treats on! The home made goodies included Individual Lemon Drizzle Loaves, All Butter Flapjack, Chocolate Brownie with Fresh Raspberry, Clementine Sponge filled with Fresh Cream & freshly baked Scones with Cream & Jam. Something for everyone!

Later on in the evening and with more mouths to feed Harriet and Jez opted for a Cheese Board (using the Cheese from their Wedding Cheese Cake) and supplemented it with Meat platters, Fish Platters & Salads – another feast for the hungry guests to tuck into.

Harriet and Jez were great fun to be around and they had a truly fantastic day – it was great to be a part of it. We wish them all the very best for their future together.
