Well it was a busy day for Green Fig with two weddings going on the same day, but with both being reasonably small numbers and two teams on the go, we had it all sorted.
Karen and Mark chose the ever beautiful Gildredge Manor for their Wedding Ceremony and Reception. In fact, Karen said that she fell in love with the place and didn’t bother looking elsewhere. They got married in the Garden Room and then had Prosecco outside in the garden, the weather just about holding out long enough for guests to enjoy the pretty outside space.
Like many couples these days Karen and Mark wanted the food that they really enjoy so they had bbq food – which is a really popular choice for weddings now. On the menu were local butcher’s Sausages, American style Beef Burger, and Satay Chicken Skewers. These were served with Tomato, Mozzarella & Red Onion Salad, Homemade Coleslaw, Roasted Butternut Squash & Rocket Salad with Toasted Seeds, and Breads.
To finish off they enjoyed Chocolate Fudge Cake, Sussex style Banoffee Pie and Zesty Lemon Pots with fresh Raspberries. To keep with the more informal style that they wanted, the food was served from a buffet table.
Later on in the evening the wedding party and additional evening guests enjoyed a Cheese board with all the trimmings and a Ham platter.
