Michelle and Jony held both their wedding ceremony and reception at Gildredge Manor in Eastbourne.
Despite it being blisteringly hot most of the guests enjoyed canape and drinks in the beautiful garden area, with some taking to the shade indoors.
Michelle had lots of ideas on the food and was really instrumental in the lovely menu they settled on. They went for different dishes from several different menus and we priced it up accordingly. All of our menus are flexible and inter-changeable.
For canape there were some real corkers, all of which went down very well:

Oven-roasted king prawn & chorizo skewers
Sticky belly pork lollipops
Mini home-made cheeseburgers
When it was time to take seats in the long Gallery upstairs the guests enjoyed the following special meal:
Trio of salmon
Roasted Mediterranean vegetable bruschetta
Homemade chicken liver parfait with red onion marmalade & focaccia

Chicken breast stuffed with sun-dried tomato, mozzarella wrapped in Serrano ham served on crushed new potatoes with roasted Mediterranean vegetables
Oven baked cod topped with a basil, parmesan and chorizo crust served on crushed new potatoes with summer greens
Individual goats cheese and caramelised red onion tart

Trio of Desserts: chocolate brownie, crème brulee, pavlova
After coffee the guests came downstairs to the bar and adjoining rooms and also made full use of the garden and the amazing sunshine we had all day. Gildredge Manor also has a cosy library area for those that fancy a bit of a rest after a big meal (you could probably get away with a little snooze too)!
Michelle and Jony opted for a band who set up in the Garden Room, and later on we set up Cheese & Meat platters for the guests to graze on in between dancing.
The intense heat didn’t seem to stop anyone enjoying themselves and it was a pleasure to receive so many lovely comments about the food from the guests.
