Wedding – Rebecca & Chris – Friday 1st June 2018

Rebecca and Chris booked with us what seems like ages ago but finally their big day came around.

Rebecca and Chris chose Hendall Manor Barns near Uckfield for their wedding ceremony and reception – a beautiful barn in a rural setting where we are one of the recommended caterers.

At this venue you are able to supply your own drinks which means you can stock the bar fully so that there is something for everyone, and take home whatever isn’t used. They kicked things off with Pimms, Prosecco and a selection of beers, served by our staff. The 71 guests also enjoyed canapé with their drinks consisting of the following tasty bites:

Chicken satay skewers

Crispy filo tartlets with basil pesto & cream cheese & sundried tomato

Homemade cheeseburgers in sesame buns

Smoked salmon & cream cheese blinis

 

Rebecca and Chris love their food and worked with us to choose a really special menu based on our Traditional Premium Menu consisting of:

Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Bruschetta

Cheddar & caramelised onion tartlet

 Chicken roulade with bacon & shallots with a rich gravy

Beef Wellington in a rich beef gravy

 Filo Basket filled with butternut squash tagine

Served on a bed of crushed new potatoes, buttered kale, tenderstem broccoli & mange tout

               Trio of Desserts: Chocolate Brownie, Strawberry Pavlova & Lemon Tart

 A truly stunning menu and it was very well-received. As if they hadn’t eaten enough there was more food to be brought out later on when they’d worked up an appetite on the dance floor!

Rebecca and Chris were a delight to deal with from start to finish and their hard work made for a perfect day. Even the weather was beautiful. We wish them both all the very best!
