Wedding – Sophie & Kevin – Monday 29th May 2017

Sophie and Kevin chose Hendall Manor Barns for their ceremony and wedding reception.

Situated at Heron’s Ghyll, between Uckfield and Crowborough Hendall Manor Barns is a beautiful private venue, and where we are one of their preferred caterers.

Fully licensed for weddings, couples can make the most of holding the ceremony on site as well as the celebrations afterwards, making it easy for everyone to stay in one place.

With a fully fitted commercial kitchen us caterers have everything we need to hand.

Sophie and Kevin tied the knot at midday, followed by drinks on the terrace. After 90 minutes or so of mingling and enjoying the surroundings, the guests made their way into the barn where the tables were all set up and ready to go.

Sophie and Kevin chose our popular picnic hamper menu for their Wedding Breakfast. For their hampers they chose broccoli & stilton quiche, maple-glazed gammon slices, pork & herb sausage rolls, butternut squash & feta filo tartlets, and ‘Olde Sussex’ cheese.

Served with salads comprising potato salad with wholegrain mustard mayonnaise, Greek salad and a mixed leaf green salad, as well as baskets of home-made breads, this is the kind of summery feast that folks just love to tuck into. Satisfying and filling, but also informal and sociable.

Sophie and Kevin chose a trio of desserts to finish off with – consisting of a mini strawberry pavlova,  chocolate brownie and a zesty lemon pot. In the unlikely event that someone doesn’t like one of them, they can trade with someone else. The plates always come back clean though, that’s for sure, and this occasion was no exception.

Later on the guests broke off from dancing for a snack hog roast, supplied by a company local to us who use great quality meat.
