Jo & Antony Wedding – Birling Manor – Saturday 11th April 2015

First wedding of the season!

Birling Manor

Jo and Antony had their ceremony and wedding celebrations at the lovely Birling Manor. They were lucky with the weather, so after the ceremony the guests were able to mill around by the pool with their Pimms, while our staff served canapes at a nice leisurely pace.

Not so leisurely indoors as we had just an hour and a half  to get the room cleared and transformed into the perfect wedding dining room. This is where a detailed table plan is really key as we need to work really quickly making sure everyone’s name setting is in the right place as well as all of the other finer details that brides inevitably have.

Trio of Brownies

Trio of Brownies

On the menu was smoked salmon & mackerel roulade, Mediterranean vegetable bruschetta or melon to start, followed by either topside of beef, stuffed chicken breast wrapped in Serrano ham or mushroom and gruyere tart, followed by trio of chocolate brownies or apple crumble and custard or summer berry pavlova. All nice and simple but cooked beautifully.

We’ll always offer a choice menu (at no extra cost) so that your guests can pre-order something they know they will enjoy – after all, it’s in our interest for everyone to love their food! And….judging by the clean plates, they certainly did.

We loved doing this wedding – really nice people, lovely location and it’s always great to see everyone really enjoying themselves.
