Well it’s one of your children’s 21st birthday parties looming and all the suggestions are being thrown into the pot as to what to do. Will it be a party, something with the family, something with no family at all? Just friends with lots of alcohol or would they prefer something a little more civilised and grown up?
At Green Fig Catering Company in Sussex, we have a few ideas for you of how we can help – something that really won’t break the bank, but will be stylish and will suit the age of the people attending, especially if there is other family involved!
Afternoon Tea – how about a luxurious afternoon tea? Served wherever you would like it, outside in the garden, indoors, or perhaps in a venue you have booked to cope with the number of people invited. Some lovely flavours of sandwich, with oodles of tea, homemade cakes and scones, plenty of cream and jam, all served in china cups and saucers and dainty plates. We have vintage crockery especially for this sort of occasion!
This is a real winner if you are having lots of family over but do not want to stand baking and cutting sandwiches yourself. Perhaps you want to sit back and really enjoy the day with the rest of your family, including that special birthday girl or boy! Then they can go out in the evening, safe in the knowledge that they have included everyone in their celebrations – family and then friends!
Private and Fine Dining – private dining is also a great choice and looks really classy! We can give you ideas for menus or you may have ideas of your own. Whichever way we handle it, the food will be served to you with exquisite tastes and combinations and will be something that you won’t forget in a while.
There may only be 6 of you to celebrate or lots more, but this makes for a really personal feel for a special birthday party, having a really amazing meal cooked in your own home. The fact that you won’t have to cook it makes it even more special!
Barbecue – how about a barbecue? This is a great way to keep everybody outside in the garden and is a really social way to celebrate a special birthday. It doesn’t have to be just the ladies inside preparing the food whilst the men are all standing around the barbecue drinking beer! Let us provide all the food and cook it for you – makes life far easier!!
Hog Roast – One step on from a barbecue is the wonderful hog roast. This again is a really sociable way to celebrate and gives a real focal point to your party.
A large buffet – not all village halls will accept bookings for 21st birthday parties, but if you manage to find one then make it fun! When you have lots of family as well as friends coming, then a large buffet makes an ideal choice. Your guests can either stand and eat or sit and enjoy their food at a table. We can decorate it all for you and take the care that perhaps you don’t have time to indulge in. Let us make it easy for you, so that you can enjoy your child’s 21st as much as they do!
They are only 21 once, so with any of these options, it will take the pressure off you for your childs 21st, or perhaps even 18th, safe in the knowledge that you will be able to enjoy the day with them as well as being fed the most amazing food with all your family and friends! A different 21st party perhaps? But it’s a great way to celebrate!
