Back at Gildredge Manor again in Eastbourne, this time for a mid-week wedding.
Mel and Aaron got married in the Garden Room at the Manor and celebrated their day with 54 of their friends and family. The weather was lovely so Prosecco, beers and soft drinks were had in the beautiful garden. The drinks were displayed in a wheel barrow which added a nice touch, and guests were served canapé including Chicken Satay Skewers, Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Kebabs, King Prawn & Chorizo Skewers and Coriander & Chilli Hummus on Pitta Toasts.
The tables were dressed simply and beautifully with flowers, jars of sweets and photos of the couple. It need not be any more complicated than this, the simple natural look always works, whatever the setting or style.
On the menu was Asian Lamb Fillet Salad or Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta to start followed by Oriental Pork Fillet served with a Sweet Potato Mash or Chicken Breast stuffed with Mozzarella wrapped in Air Dried Ham in a light Chicken Gravy. These were served with Buttered New Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables.
The dessert was a Trio of Desserts made up of a Chocolate Brownie, a Zesty Lemon Pot with fresh Raspberries, and a mini Fruit Pavlova. Perfect if you fancy a bit of everything!
Clean plates all round is always a good sign that everyone has enjoyed their meal, and this group were no exception. In fact so many of the guests commented on how good the food was, which we always like to hear.
The evening food was Burgers and salads – good fodder for guests who have worked up an appetite on the dance floor, which was all happening in the Garden Room. Gildredge Manor has several rooms that guests can use as well as the garden itself, which is what makes it such a great venue.
We wish Mel and Aaron all the very best for their future together.
