Robert & Amy – Saturday 5th September 2015

Robert and Amy got married in Ringmer, and held their Wedding Reception in a marquee at ‘Broadacres’ near Laughton. 2015-09-05 12.20.08

After the guests arrived they started off with canapé and welcome drinks on the lawn. They chose Mini toad-in-the-holes, King prawn and chorizo skewers, Thai crab & chilli toasts, Cherry Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Kebabs, Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Blinis & Chicken Satay Skewers – all of which went down very well with a drop of chilled Champagne.

2015-09-05 16.07.29The marquee was set beautifully with pretty touches such as the place settings and favour boxes. For the main Wedding Breakfast the couple chose our Picnic Hamper package. They decided to fill the hampers with these goodies: Gammon Ham, Home-made Chicken Liver Parfait, Mushroom, Thyme & Gruyere Quiche, Pork Pies, Coronation Chicken, Pork & Herb Sausage Rolls & Mature Cheddar Cheese. Bowls of Mixed Green Leaf Salad, Potato Salad & Homemade Coleslaw were brought to the tables. 2015-09-05 12.20.44

The hamper weddings are still so popular. It’s informal and really sociable and there’s always a nice buzz in the room as guests unpack and unwrap the items and pass them round.

For dessert, the guests had Wedding Cake as well as a selection of cakes that had been made by some of the guests. In the evening the guests enjoyed a Hog Roast – another firm favourite to please the crowds.

A great day was had by all – and we wish Robert and Amy all the very best for their future together.
