Gildredge Manor for us again, and Natasha & Daniel started proceedings by having the ceremony in the lovely Garden Room.
Canape were served along with Prosecco after the ceremony and Tasha and Daniel chose Mini Toad in the Hole, Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Kebabs, Goats Cheese & Olive Toasts and Chrizo & Halloumi Kebabs
Although we are regulars at Gildredge Manor, each wedding is different. Everyone has their unique way of decorating the tables, and their own style, and this can be reflected in the food they choose.
Tasha and Daniel chose a BBQ, really popular for a laid-back, informal approach to wedding food. And why not? When you have a home-made burger in a home-made bun it’s worlds apart from the sort of thing you might get out of the freezer at home! With meaty sausages from our butcher, and marinated satay chicken skewers this was a proper feast.
Accompaniments were greek salad, persian rice and potato salad. And for the all-important pud it was eton mess and banoffee pie – all the favourites. Tasha and Daniel opted for platters to tables rather than a buffet service. This works well if it’s a bit tight in the room, and there’s not too much space to be getting up and down in.
The desserts were served plated, but alternate puds put down in front of the guests. Some people choose this style, it adds a bit of fun and encourages swapping and tasting what someone else has got!
And for those with a really sweet tooth Tasha and Daniel had set up a sweetie table with the tea and coffee down in the bar area. Very much geared up for the adults as there were only a few kids!
With evening guests arriving and a DJ to get everyone in the mood in the Garden Room, they had all angles covered for a really good time.
Bacon butties and a cheeseboard came out to keep folks re-fuelled followed by wedding cake.
Tasha, Daniel and their guests had a great time and we were thrilled to receive an email telling us how much everyone enjoyed the food.
A real pleasure to have met Tasha and Daniel and to have helped make their day so special. We wish them all the very best.
