Private Dining – Sunday 23rd July 2017

Natalie and her family were planning a weekend away in Sussex to celebrate her mother’s 80th birthday.

They rented a beautiful property overlooking Bewl Water and asked us to host a Private Dining party for them so that they could celebrate in style without having to cook themselves.

They selected a really nice menu which started, as all dinner parties should with drinks and canapé. The grandchildren Ollie and Harvey wanted to help serve so they walked around offering Smoked Salmon Blinis, Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta, Thai Fishcakes, and Chicken Liver Parfait filled Filo Tartlets, which meant our waitress could concentrate on making sure everyone had a glass of something bubbly to wash them down with.

For the main event the guests enjoyed oven-roasted fillet of Cod with a Chorizo & Butter Bean Ragout or slow-roast Lamb served on Boulangere Potatoes with Mediterranean Vegetables.

The trio of desserts consisting of miniature portions of Banoffee Pie, Brandy Snap basket filled with exotic Fruits and a warm Treacle Sponge was the real talking point.

A lovely family to cater for, it really was a pleasure for us too. We were thrilled that the whole family enjoyed the evening so much, and even more thrilled to receive their note of thanks (see left).
