Anne and John held their Wedding Blessing at the amazing Gildredge Manor where we had catered the day before – we’re becoming part of the furniture! 
Anne and John are a very relaxed couple – I guess they have to be in their line of work – (www.wetalkaboutsex.com) and they wanted a totally relaxed day with their family and friends.
After drinks and canape downstairs, the 63 guests took their seats in the upstairs Long Room. Another beautifully decorated room in the Manor, but two flights of stairs up from the kitchen, so we were really feeling it by the end of the day!
To continue with the informal feel to the event, Anne and John opted for a served Hot Fork Buffet that consisted of Lemon Chicken with Black Olives, Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Lasagne and Poached Salmon Fillet with a Herb and Caper Sauce. These were served with Cauliflower Cheese, Seasonal Vegetables and Roasted Garlic and Rosemary New Potatoes. And good old sausages for the kids!
Desserts went down a storm and included Sticky Toffee Pudding, Lemon Meringue Pie and Apple & Blackberry Crumble with Custard. After this they had tea and coffee and a slice of the beautiful cake made by Trudy at www.thechainlanecakeco.co.uk
Although exhausted by the end of the day it was a very enjoyable job for us because the group were so friendly and relaxed.
As well as a lovely testimonial from Anne and John (see left of screen) they also gave us a beautiful bouquet of flowers which I was thrilled with!! (doesn’t happen very often…)!
We wish them many more years of happiness together.
