Sarah & Luke’s Wedding – 19th July 2014 – Bexhill

Wedding Catering in SussexAfter a cracking storm the night before it turned into a beautifully hot day for Sarah and Luke who got married and held their Wedding Reception at Manor Barn in Bexhill.

The beautiful sunshine outside meant that after the ceremony guests could enjoy the lovely grounds and we could get in to turn the room around ready for the Wedding Breakfast – much easier when you don’t have a hundred guests amongst you trying to take cover!

Sarah & Luke chose a dark purple as their accent colour which worked really well against the dark wood-panelled room. They went for a more informal style with the food, in that it was a hot fork-buffet. With a choice of lamb tagine, Moroccan lemon chicken or cod fillet in a tomato & bean ragout, the guests were very happy, and many had a bit of each.

Wedding Catering SussexThe dessert table was also a big hit. Both courses were served by our waitresses from a buffet table which is a nice way of getting guests to move around and to create a more informal atmosphere in the room; nice if you like a bit of bustle and especially good if you have lots of younger guests as it can take the pressure off of parents to have perfectly-behaved quiet children (and we all know they don’t exist!).

The evening buffet was nice and simple and included cold meats, cheese and bread. Good fodder for wedding revellers and doesn’t break the bank.

Sarah & Luke really enjoyed their day and spent much of their time circulating amongst their guests – it was a really sociable and fun wedding and reflected them perfectly.
