Wedding – Jack & Rob Saturday 14th July 2018

Jack and Rob got married in Lewes and then travelled to Eridge Village Hall, on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells for the rest of the day’s celebrations.

They chose Eridge Village Hall as it fitted perfectly with how they envisaged the day. From the off they knew they wanted a village fete theme, a relaxed and informal feel to the day, in a rural setting. They even laid on typical village fete games in the garden such as the old favourite the coconut shy!

The way Jack and Rob styled this pretty village hall was beautifully simple with long trestle tables, white linen and fresh flowers. The hall itself has soft grey walls and a light airy space from which to start.

The wooden folding chairs completed the look – all of which we can hire in using the same company as where we source the crockery, cutlery and glassware you’ll need (Abbey Catering Services). What’s more it’s all delivered to the venue and collected so you don’t need to worry about the logistics; we’ll do that for you.

It was a scorching hot day so guests could make the most of the sunshine in the garden area whilst being served canape & Prosecco.

Canape included walnut crusted goats cheese bites, oven roasted king prawn & chorizo skewers, lemongrass infused shredded chicken sliders, and sun-dried tomato & parmesan arancini.

Jack and Rob chose a stunning Tapas menu for their Wedding Breakfast. To start sharing boards were brought to the tables consisting of:

Cheese Croquetas

Chorizo & Octopus Salad

Patatas Bravas with a rich Tomato Sauce

Green Vegetable Spanish Tortilla

Chargrilled Mediterranean Vegetables with Pesto Oil

Marinated Olives

Sharing boards are quite the thing at the moment, something for everyone and wonderfully sociable. To follow they opted for a Chicken & Chorizo Paella as well as a Vegetarian Paella, served with home made Bread and green Salad.

With speeches done it was time for coffee, after which some of the tables were moved to make way for the evening’s entertainment.

Later in the evening we served Beef and Veggie Burgers with Sun-dried Tomato, Black Olive & Parmesan Orzo Salad & home-made Coleslaw.

A truly memorable day for Jack and Rob (see the lovely testimonial they gave us just a few days after the wedding), and our pleasure for being able to be part of it.
