Wedding – Stacey & Mark – Saturday 17/9/16

Stacey and Mark held their wedding reception at Frickley Lake – a wonderful farm and wedding venue in Catsfield. The owner, Dave also runs his marquee business – Meridian Marquees from here so it has everything you could possibly need.

Dave has become a good friend of ours over the years as his marquee business is the one we always recommend – they are the best we have ever worked with.  The venue is second to none if you are after space, beautiful surroundings and lovely people to deal with.

There’s even a lake, complete with boat house for the bridal couple to spend their wedding night in. The rest of the guests can use the surrounding field to pitch tents in, or camp in style in bell tents.

After getting married in Herstmonceux, the wedding party made their way to Frickley Lake for arrival drinks and canapé, which included Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Blinis, Miniature Toad in the Holes, Cherry Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Kebabs, Oven Roasted King Prawn & Chorizo Skewers, Sundried Tomato & Parmesan Risotto Balls and Apricots and Prunes wrapped in Smoked Bacon.<

The weather was a bit hit and miss but the marquee was so spacious there was plenty of room to mill about in (as well as play on the wonderful space hoppers! Stacey and Mark had thought of everything, and had a more than well stocked bar to keep those less energetic guests occupied.

The main Wedding Breakfast was a picnic hamper, – perfect for such a beautiful countryside setting. Filled with the usual delights such as Cheeses, Meats, Sausage Rolls and Salads, it was a real hit with the guests – and there’s always plenty to go around. Dessert was decadent chocolate cake.

After several hours making full use of the bar, anyone who was a bit peckish still after all that food could visit the Pizza Van that had arrived, offering wood fired home made pizzas. There was also an ice-cream van on site for those who fancied something sweet.

All in all it was a great crowd and they had fun from start to finish. The place was positively buzzing when we left and I would imagine they carried on for a fair while before climbing into their tents.

Great wedding to be part of – we had loads of fun too.

Stacey and Mark – great couple – and we wish them all the very best!
